Google Ads for home service businesses

Google Ads for HVAC and plumbing shops that want booked jobs, not clicks.

I run Google Search and Local Services Ads for any home service business, with a focus on HVAC and plumbing. Based in Kansas City, working with shops across the US. You own the account, you pay Google directly, and you see exactly where every dollar goes.

The problem

Most home service ad accounts leak money in the same places.

Searches that never turn into jobs

Ads showing for HVAC jobs, how to fix a furnace, or the wrong city.

No call tracking

Nobody knows what a lead actually costs, so nobody knows what to cut.

One generic ad for every service

Sending people to a homepage instead of a page built to make them call.

Ads running at 2 a.m.

Paying for clicks when nobody is there to answer the phone.

If you're spending on Google and can't say what a booked job costs you, that's the first thing to fix.

What you get

One specialist on your account, not a junior at a big agency.

Google Search ads

Built around your services and service area, with negative keywords that cut wasted spend.

Local Services Ads

Setup and management, including rating every lead so Google credits invalid ones and learns which calls are real jobs.

Call and form tracking

So you know your cost per lead and, with your input, your cost per booked job.

A one-page monthly report

In plain English: what you spent, how many leads it produced, what each cost, and what I changed.

A direct line to me

Email replies within one business day and a monthly 30-minute review call.

Weekly account work

Search terms, bids, budget and ad schedule checked every week.

How it works

From a 30-minute call to ads running in your own account.

  1. 30-minute call

    Free audit

I look at how you show up on Google today and give you three fixes, whether or not you hire me.

  2. One page

    Proposal

If it makes sense, you get a plain proposal with the fee, the plan for the first 90 days, and the ad budget I recommend.

  3. First 2 weeks

    Setup

Tracking, campaigns and Local Services Ads go live in your own account.

  4. Ongoing

    Tune and report

I check search terms and bids every week and send your report every month.

How pricing works

A flat fee. No percentage of your ad spend.

  • One flat monthly management feeIt's set in your proposal based on your budget, not a cut of every dollar you spend.
  • You pay Google directlyFor your ads, from your own account.
  • 90-day first termThen month to month, with 30 days' notice to cancel.
  • Recommended ad budget$1,500 a month or more, set by you.

You'll get exact pricing in a one-page proposal after your free audit.

No surprises: the proposal shows the fee, what's included, and the budget I'd recommend for your market before you agree to anything.

About

Who you'd be working with

I'm Owen Wolstenholm, based in Overland Park. I spent nearly three years in B2B sales at Sandhills Global and about 14 months as an account manager at TEKsystems, working with owners who want straight answers and measurable results. I'm Google Ads Search certified, and I started Sentiero to do one thing well: paid search for home service businesses.

Sentiero is new, so I don't have past client results to show you yet. That's why the audit is free: it's the easiest way to judge whether I know what I'm talking about.

Questions

Straight answers

Do I own my ad account?

Yes. It's in your name, on your card. If we stop working together, everything stays with you.

Do you guarantee leads?

No. Anyone who guarantees a number of leads before seeing your market is guessing. What I commit to is weekly work on your account and a clear monthly report on what it produced.

Do you only work with HVAC and plumbing?

No. HVAC and plumbing are my focus, but I work with any home service business: electricians, roofers, garage door companies, pest control, landscapers and more.

Why only home services?

Because the searches, seasons and lead types are the same problems over and over, and knowing them well is faster and cheaper for you.

What areas do you cover?

Anywhere in the US. I'm based in Kansas City and can meet in person there; everywhere else we work by phone and video.
